The Methven & Foothills Birdsong Initiative is a grassroots conservation project dedicated to restoring native birdlife throughout the Methven and foothills region. By funding pest control, protecting habitats, building habitats and engaging the local community, the initiative is helping to create healthier ecosystems and is brining the sound of native birdsong back to Methven.

Dear Effie is a Canterbury based charity created out of personal grief to support families navigating the loss of a baby or child. Their mission is simple: to be a beacon of support for children and families in the Canterbury Region as they navigate the intricate terrain of grief. Inspired by love, compassion and life experience, Dear Effie provides practical resources that help families feel supported during an incredibly difficult time.
